Oban woodblock print by Kunisada, a.k.a. Toyokuni III (1786 - 1864) from the Edo period, titled 'Poet 99'. Published by Sanoya Kihei, acccording to sensor seals between 1847 and 1852. The image depicts the poet Kamakura-udaijin (Sanetomo) from the series 'One hundred Poems by One Hundred Poets' (Hyakunin-isshu Emyo). A cartouche in the shape of a book features a poem by the poet.
